Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Strategic Leadership<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and implement the actuarial department strategy in alignment with organizational objectives and risk appetite.
\n\tPartner with senior management to provide actuarial insights that inform business strategy and decision-making.
\n\tMonitor industry developments, market trends, and regulatory changes to proactively identify opportunities and mitigate risks.<\/p>\n
People Leadership<\/p>\n
\tLead, motivate, and manage a high-performing actuarial team.
\n\tBuild team capability through mentoring, coaching, and professional development.
\n\tSet KPIs, manage performance, and drive accountability within the team.<\/p>\n
Operational Delivery<\/p>\n
\tLead and oversee actuarial valuations, including IFRS 17 and IAS 19 valuations, and insurance product pricing.
\n\tDevelop pension scheme investment policies and strategic plans.
\n\tDesign and support the setup of Income Drawdown and Post-Retirement Medical Funds.
\n\tPerform and review actuarial calculations, including:\u00a0Projecting healthcare costs for corporate clients\u00a0and Assessing financial impacts of proposed benefit changes to corporate medical schemes.
\n\tReview and validate defined benefit scheme member statements and benefit calculations.<\/p>\n
Business Development<\/p>\n
\tPrepare prospecting proposals and service quotations for new business opportunities.
\n\tDevelop and submit responses to RFQs and RFPs.
\n\tSupport revenue growth and client retention initiatives through technical input and solution design.<\/p>\n
Credit Control<\/p>\n
\tFollow up on payments and ensure timely collection of fees for services rendered.’<\/p>\n
Other Duties<\/p>\n
\tPerform any other relevant duties as assigned by the line manager in support of departmental and organizational objectives.<\/p>\n

Requirements<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience<\/p>\n
Essential:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Commerce, or a related field (Master\u2019s degree is an advantage).
\n\tFellowship of the Institute of Actuaries or another recognized actuarial institute.
\n\tMinimum of 10 years\u2019 relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
\n\tAdvanced proficiency in actuarial software, VBA, and MS Excel.<\/p>\n
