You understand what strong data architecture looks like \u2014 from field collection protocols to quality assurance processes to reporting pipelines \u2014 and you have strengthened or rebuilt systems before. You are comfortable operating where data systems require reform and structure.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tA hands-on transformation leader:\u00a0You do not lead exclusively from behind a desk. You engage directly with implementation realities, spending time in the field to\u00a0observe\u00a0data collection,\u00a0identify\u00a0quality risks, and work alongside teams to improve standards. You balance strategic vision with operational execution, leveraging strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>\n\tA builder of distributed teams:\u00a0You have successfully led and developed dispersed technical teams across multiple regions. You know how to set expectations,\u00a0establish\u00a0accountability, mentor staff, and align MEL teams with program leadership.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tA cross-functional collaborator:\u00a0You work effectively with Program Directors and operational leadership to integrate MEL into implementation. You\u00a0are able to\u00a0influence senior stakeholders and position data as a tool for learning and improvement rather than compliance alone.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tA driver of evidence-based culture:\u00a0You have experience leading or contributing to an organizational shift toward evidence-based adaptive management. You promote data integrity, transparency, and continuous improvement, and have strong knowledge of data quality assurance and control processes.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tA credible technical representative:\u00a0You can clearly explain MEL systems, quality controls, and reporting standards to donors, investors, and third-party auditors during site visits.
