The HRBP manages both internal staff and outsourced labor deployed at client sites, ensuring full compliance with Kenyan labor laws, operational efficiency, high employee engagement, and adherence to client Service Level Agreements (SLAs).<\/p>\n
Key Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Strategic Advisory<\/p>\n
\tPartner with department heads and client managers to develop HR strategies that support business growth and operational efficiency.
\n\tProvide workforce planning insights and recommendations to strengthen client relations and business performance.<\/p>\n
Talent Management<\/p>\n
\tOversee the full talent lifecycle: manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning.
\n\tImplement retention and development strategies for both internal employees and outsourced workforce.<\/p>\n
Labor Outsourcing & Compliance<\/p>\n
\tEnsure outsourced staff comply with Kenyan labor laws, company policies, and client SLAs.
\n\tMonitor employment contracts, statutory compliance, and HR regulatory requirements.
\n\tConduct routine compliance audits.<\/p>\n
Performance Management<\/p>\n
\tLead performance appraisal cycles across business units.
\n\tCoach managers on effective feedback delivery and performance conversations.
\n\tIdentify high-potential talent and proactively manage underperformance.<\/p>\n
Employee Relations<\/p>\n
\tServe as primary HR contact for grievances, disciplinary matters, and employee welfare issues.
\n\tPromote harmonious employee relations and effective communication.<\/p>\n
HR Data Analytics & Reporting<\/p>\n
\tAnalyze key HR metrics including turnover, absenteeism, productivity, and engagement.
\n\tGenerate actionable HR reports and dashboards for management.<\/p>\n
Process Improvement & Documentation<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and refine HR processes for operational efficiency and compliance.
\n\tMaintain HR templates, records, and documentation systems.<\/p>\n
Consultancy & Client Project HR Support<\/p>\n
\tSupport execution of HR aspects of outsourced labor and client projects.
\n\tAct as the primary HR liaison between internal teams and external clients.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
Academic Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
\n\tHigher Diploma in Human Resource Management (HR professional certification) is required.
\n\tMembership with IHRM (Institute of Human Resource Management \u2013 Kenya) is mandatory.<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 3-5years\u2019 progressive HR experience, with at least 1 year in an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist role.
\n\tProven experience managing outsourced labor and multi-site workforce operations.
\n\tStrong exposure to Kenyan labor laws, disciplinary processes, and statutory compliance.
\n\tExperience supporting business units in workforce planning and performance management.
\n\tDemonstrated experience handling employee relations and grievance resolution.
\n\tExperience working in a consultancy, outsourcing firm, or multi-client environment is highly desirable.<\/p>\n
