We seek a highly qualified and motivated individual to to lead the identification, development, and coordination of funding opportunities that enable LVCT Health to deliver its mission and strategic priorities. The person will strengthen LVCT Health\u2019s resource mobilisation by cultivating funder relationships, developing high-quality funding proposals, and supporting a diversified income portfolio aligned with organisational strategy.<\/p>\n
Roles and Responsibilities Strategic Resource Mobilization<\/p>\n
\tLead the identification and development of funding opportunities from foundations, high-net-individuals, donors and social investors in line with LVCT Health\u2019s business development strategy
\n\tEstablish and manage a robust, multi-year funding pipeline, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities
\n\tLead the development of high-quality, winning concepts and proposals that are competitive and aligned to lvct health\u2019s strategy\u00a0
\n\tManage pre-solicitation proposal preparations and bid planning; participate in pre-design meetings and drafting sections of the proposal in advance of the solicitation; coordinate and facilitate design workshops
\n\tManage proposal review process and check budget alignment, responsiveness and compliance with donor guidelines
\n\tContribute to collecting and sharing proposal process lessons learnt after submission
\n\tCollaborate closely with the Communications team to transform LVCT Health\u2019s research and impact data into compelling pitches for funders\u00a0
\n\tExternal engagements and networking:
\n\tIdentify, establish and nurture relationships with strategic partners (academic institutions, NGOs, CSOs, private sector firms) to leverage collective strengths in competitive calls for proposals
\n\tSupport technical leads to develop organisational capability statements in coordination with the communications team in readiness for fundraising
\n\tBuild effective working relationships with partners on proposal bids; support the management of consultants recruited to support proposal development
\n\tNetwork with strategic donors, collecting strategic intelligence on opportunities, updating the donor and partners contacts and database for continuous engagement
\n\tEnhance visibility and influence across diverse donor ecosystems through proactive networking and strategic negotiations
\n\t\u00a0Internal Capacity Building
\n\tChampion a fundraising culture by training and mentoring the business development team and program leads on “resource mobilization mindsets” and identifying funding opportunities within their projects
\n\tSafeguarding
\n\tAdhere to LVCT Health safeguarding principles as defined within the safeguarding and related policies; and
\n\tAny other responsibilities assigned to the jobholder by the supervisor from time to time<\/p>\n
Competency Criteria<\/p>\n
Education<\/p>\n
\tMaster\u2019s degree or equivalent work experience in International Development, Business, Public Policy, or related fields from a recognised institution\u00a0<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\tInstitutional and bilateral funding (foundations, embassies, multilaterals)
\n\tPhilanthropic and private foundations, including relationship-based engagement
\n\tInnovative funds including Corporates and social investment funds
\n\tProject-based and competitive funding calls, including concept notes and full proposals
\n\tDevelopment and management of strategic partnerships and consortia, including academic, NGO, and private-sector collaborations
\n\tA minimum of seven (7+) years in a senior fundraising position<\/p>\n
