ESSENTIAL DUTIES:<\/p>\n
\tUnder the supervision of a registered nurse, provides hands-on care to patients admitted to the hospital.
\n\tMaintains patient’s stability by checking temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, height and weight.
\n\tProvides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients\u2019 calls and requests; and reporting observations of the patient to nursing on duty.
\n\tPrepare, serve meals, and feed patients if necessary.
\n\tBathe and dress patients.
\n\tMake beds and perform light housekeeping duties in the patient’s room.
\n\tTake patients for scheduled walks.
\n\tTransport patients to\/from operating rooms or other locations as necessary.
\n\tProvide skin care.
\n\tSet up equipment.
\n\tEnsure that supply closets are stocked and cleaned.
\n\tObserve patients’ physical, mental, and emotional conditions and report abnormal patterns to nursing staff.
\n\tObserve and record fluid intake and output.
\n\tDevelop nurturing relationships with patients and their families.
\n\tEmpty bedpans and change dirty linens.
\n\tReport violent behavior.
\n\tFollow proper procedures for lifting and moving patients.\u00a0
\n\tDocuments actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.<\/p>\n
