Job Summary<\/p>\n
\tISM Africa is seeking a highly skilled and motivated\u00a0Registered Mechanical Engineer (EBK) to join our engineering team.
\n\tThe successful candidate will be responsible for the design, planning, implementation, and supervision of mechanical engineering projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements. The role requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tDesign, develop, and review mechanical systems and equipment for various engineering projects.
\n\tPrepare engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical reports.
\n\tEnsure all mechanical designs and installations comply with Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) regulations and applicable engineering standards.
\n\tSupervise installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
\n\tProvide technical guidance and mentorship to graduate and junior engineers.
\n\tConduct site inspections to ensure project implementation meets design specifications and safety standards.
\n\tCoordinate with project managers, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.
\n\tReview contractor submissions, technical proposals, and project documentation.
\n\tEnsure adherence to occupational health and safety standards during project execution.
\n\tParticipate in project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
\n\tSupport continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Requirements<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
\n\tMust be a Registered Professional Engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK).
\n\tMinimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in mechanical engineering design, installation, or project supervision.
\n\tStrong knowledge of engineering design standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
\n\tProficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design tools.
\n\tDemonstrated experience in project management and coordination.
\n\tExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
\n\tStrong communication and interpersonal skills.
\n\tAbility to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.<\/p>\n
