Role Overview<\/p>\n
\tThe HR Manager (Head Role) will report to the Director and will be responsible for all aspects of HR\u2014strategic and operational\u2014across plants and corporate functions. The role carries full ownership of the people agenda and will lead an HR team of 5, with a strong emphasis on HR business partnering and using data\/metrics to support key business decisions and growth.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Leadership & HR Operations<\/p>\n
\tLead and manage the HR function for 500+ employees across design, manufacturing, logistics and corporate\/support functions, with a team of 5 HR staff.
\n\tSet up, refine and enforce HR policies, processes and systems across locations.
\n\tEnsure consistent HR service delivery to both plant and corporate employees.<\/p>\n
HR Business Partnering & Analytics<\/p>\n
\tAct as a strategic HR business partner to the Director and senior management team.
\n\tAnalyse HR and business KPIs (manpower cost, productivity, overtime, attrition, absenteeism, hiring funnel, training ROI, etc.) and present clear insights to management.
\n\tPrepare HR dashboards and utilise data to recommend actions on organisation design, headcount, performance, rewards and engagement.
\n\tSupport key business and growth decisions (new projects, capacity expansion, restructuring, incentives) with people related analytics and inputs.<\/p>\n
Talent Management & Development<\/p>\n
\tDrive workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding and employer branding to attract and retain high quality talent.
\n\tImplement robust performance management processes, including goalsetting, reviews and development plans.
\n\tDesign and deliver learning & development and leadership programmes for functional and people managers.
\n\tIdentify high potential employees and build succession pipelines for critical positions.<\/p>\n
Compensation, Compliance & Employee Relations<\/p>\n
\tOversee compensation & benefits, HR policies, grading and annual salary\/bonus review processes.
\n\tEnsure full compliance with Kenyan labour legislation and internal HR policies for both plant and office employees.
\n\tManage employee relations, internal communication, grievance and disciplinary procedures in a fair and transparent manner.
\n\tLead culture building and engagement initiatives to drive productivity, collaboration and retention.<\/p>\n
Profile & Qualifications<\/p>\n
\t10+ years of HR experience, preferably covering both manufacturing and corporate functions.
\n\tProven experience as Head HR \/ HR Manager reporting to promoters\/Directors and part of senior management.
\n\tStrong understanding of Kenyan labour laws and HR best practices.
\n\tHigh comfort with numbers and HR analytics; able to link people metrics with business performance and support management decisions.
\n\tHands on, process driven, and comfortable operating across plants and corporate offices.
\n\tExcellent communication, stakeholder management and people leadership skills.
\n\tBachelor\u2019s degree with HR specialisation; a Master\u2019s in HR \/ MBA is a plus.<\/p>\n
