Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tOperates machine to embroider name\/logo, initial, or decorative designs on garments, household articles, material, uniforms etc.
\n\tTo stitch cording, braid, or emblems on material or garments, following stamped\/approved design.
\n\tInput logo into embroidery machine using floppy disk
\n\tObserve sewing operation to detect defects in stitching that indicate machine malfunction and notify supervisor of malfunction at any point.
\n\tIroning of embroidering material to smooth area using hand iron.
\n\tRepairing of defective embroidery or fill in blanks left by embroidery machine.
\n\tHoop and center material to prepare for processing on embroidery machine
\n\tSwitching the machine on \/ off
\n\tThreading the machine and replacement of bobbins
\n\tLogo framing, ranging, machine loading, offloading and stitch monitoring.
\n\tQuality control and continuous monitoring of product quality.
\n\tMachine sound and problem monitoring.
\n\tCleaning the machine and area of work at the end of every shift
\n\tFilling in the Machine Maintenance Log Book
\n\tAny other duties assigned<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tMust have a KCSE, (Certificate \/short courses in vocational training on the same will be an added advantage)
\n\tMinimum of 1-2 years working experience in the same position<\/p>\n
Skills & Experience required<\/p>\n
\tMachine operation experience:\u00a0Prior experience operating industrial embroidery machines especially multi-head machines is highly preferred.
\n\tComputer literacy:\u00a0Ability to\u00a0load and interpret digital embroidery files\u00a0and use basic computer controls on the machine is often required.
\n\tAttention to detail:\u00a0Essential for ensuring quality, correct placement, and color accuracy of embroidery.
\n\tBasic troubleshooting:\u00a0Ability to detect issues (thread breaks, tension problems, misalignment) and perform routine maintenance.
\n\tPhysical stamina:\u00a0Standing for long periods, hoisting garments, and manually adjusting heavy fabric are often part of the job.
\n\tCommunication and teamwork:\u00a0For coordinating production schedules, reporting issues, and working with colleagues.<\/p>\n
