\tAccounts Receivable (Tenants & Lease Finance)\u00a0
\n\tRecord and reconcile tenant rent payments, service charges, parking fees, utilities, and other income streams.\u00a0
\n\tGenerate and send tenant invoices, rent demands, and statements.\u00a0
\n\tTrack rent arrears, follow up with tenants, and escalate long-overdue accounts.\u00a0
\n\tMaintain an updated tenant ledger for each property.\u00a0
\n\tAssist\u00a0in monitoring lease expiry, rent escalation schedules, and deposit tracking.\u00a0
\n\tAccounts Payable (Suppliers & Contractors)\u00a0
\n\tReceive, verify, and post vendor invoices (maintenance, utilities, security, cleaning, repairs).\u00a0
\n\tMaintain a log of supplier contracts and payment schedules.\u00a0
\n\tPrepare and process payment vouchers, cheque write-ups, and bank transfers.\u00a0
\n\tReconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.\u00a0
\n\tBank & Cash Reconciliation\u00a0
\n\tPerform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations for rent accounts, service charge accounts, and operational accounts.\u00a0
\n\tTrack and reconcile petty cash for property maintenance operations.\u00a0
\n\tService Charge & Property Expense Management\u00a0
\n\tAssist\u00a0in preparing annual service charge budgets.\u00a0
\n\tMaintain proper documentation of property operating expenses.\u00a0
\n\tMonitor utility bills (water, electricity), common-area maintenance charges, and sinking fund postings.\u00a0
\n\tSupport preparation of service charge reconciliation statements for property owners.\u00a0
\n\tFinancial Reporting & Documentation\u00a0
\n\tAssist\u00a0in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.\u00a0
\n\tMaintain orderly and secure accounting files (leases, invoices, receipts, vouchers).\u00a0
\n\tSupport audit schedules and respond to auditor queries during audits.\u00a0
\n\tCompliance & Systems\u00a0
\n\tEnsure all accounting tasks\u00a0comply with\u00a0Kenyan financial regulations (e.g., KRA, VAT Act, Income Tax Act).\u00a0
\n\tUpdate financial data in accounting\/property management systems (QuickBooks, Sage, In4Suite, Tally).\u00a0
\n\tMaintain confidentiality of financial and tenant information.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
Required\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tDiploma or\u00a0Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.\u00a0
\n\t1\u20132\u00a0years\u00a0accounting experience (preferably in real estate\/property management).\u00a0
\n\tProficiency\u00a0in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and accounting software.<\/p>\n
