Job Objective<\/p>\n
The purpose of this position is to carry out teaching roles, student mentoring, research and other duties in liaison with the university\ufffds overall goal.<\/p>\n
Duties and responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tTo teach in areas allocated by the Head of Department.
\n\tDesigning, developing, planning and delivering a range of programmes of study, sometimes for entirely new courses at various levels.
\n\tDelivering high-quality lectures and practicals.
\n\tReviewing course content and materials on a regular basis, updating when required.
\n\tCollaborating with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes and the development of research activities.
\n\tCarrying out research and writing research grant proposals.
\n\tSeeking and participating in consultancies.
\n\tPresenting research papers at national or international conferences and other similar events.
\n\tDissemination of research outputs.
\n\tProviding mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.
\n\tAny other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisors or as captured in your detailed job description.<\/p>\n
Qualification and experience<\/p>\n
\tA Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology from a recognised\/accredited University in the relevant field.
\n\tAt least three (3) years of post-qualification work experience.
\n\tDemonstrated potential for university teaching and research.
\n\tCommitment to high-quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment for students<\/p>\n
