Main purpose of the job<\/p>\n
As a Manager within Deloitte\u2019s Assurance practice, you will work with senior managers, directors, and partners to manage and deliver climate & sustainability\/ESG advisory engagements on specific clients. The scope of work includes sustainability governance and management, ESG reporting, financial impact assessment of sustainability, climate change and carbon, sustainable finance, sustainability data management and analytics, and sustainability communication. You will manage all aspects of the end-to-end engagement process, including working to agree timetables, developing the scope of work and deliverables, developing appropriate work programmes, reviewing the testing and assurance fieldwork and draft reporting and being responsible for project management.<\/p>\n
What you will do<\/p>\n
\tManage the delivery of the overall Climate & Sustainability\/ ESG advisory engagements, including identifying strategic direction of the work and supporting team members in project-related tasks.
\n\tSupport the Partner\/Associate Director in engagement budgeting and resource management process.
\n\tBe responsible for engagement and client acceptance procedures.
\n\tDevelop\/maintain strong working relationships with client’s key business decision makers to communicate value and inform them of the firm’s scope of services.
\n\tTake responsibility for supporting the Partner\/ Associate Director in identifying and pursuing new advisory opportunities.
\n\tIdentify, research, and help to resolve complex climate & sustainability\/ESG assurance issues.
\n\tIdentify\/communicate trends, developments, and key performance drivers relevant to clients and potential clients. Demonstrate a deep understanding of client industry and marketplace.
\n\tDevelop people by encouraging junior team members and successfully delegate to and manage them.
\n\tActively follow the landscape for ESG communications, including ESG standards.
\n\tContinue to broaden own knowledge and experience within the alternative asset industry and ESG\/Sustainability\/Diversity space by educating self on evolving standards and best practices as well as attending relevant industry events.
\n\tConduct eminence-building activities in ESG, enhancing the firm\u2019s profile and thought leadership in the market.
\n\tSupport business development initiatives to expand the ESG service offering portfolio and drive revenue growth.<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in a relevant field.
\n\tProfessional qualification in ACCA, CPA.
\n\t5\u20138 years\u2019 advisory experience, ideally with sustainability\/ESG exposure.
\n\tStrong understanding of industry sustainability frameworks (e.g. GRI, SASB, TCFD, GHG Protocol).<\/p>\n
