Principal Accountabilities<\/p>\n
\tDelivery of Agri-business company plan commitments
\n\tProvision of timely and accurate financial management information relating to Leaf, forecast accuracy of leaf costs including blends, working capital and a cause of change for any variances
\n\tChallenging status quo on potential productivity savings opportunities including participation in loss analysis and ideas generating forums
\n\tProactive management and accurate reporting of losses including early warnings of potential risks
\n\tEnsure appropriate treatment of import duties, levies and costs relating to leaf
\n\tLiaise with auditors to ensure timely completion of audits and compliance with regulatory requirements.
\n\tAccurate cashflow and working capital management of Leaf related inputs
\n\tDrive the control environment on asset and inventory management.
\n\tDrive compliance to internal controls and engage the Leaf and GLT team to inspire a culture of continuous improvement including driving a controls culture
\n\tExternal relationship engagement to gain insights and leverage to achieve deliverables and support our business interests.
\n\t\u00a0Support site accreditations qualification agenda
\n\tImplement processes to proactively manage and meet trade blocs threshold compliance
\n\tLiaise with key stakeholders to expand breadth of knowledge, technical expertise and collaborate to achieve business objectives
\n\tWork with Shared Service Teams to ensure accuracy of cost roll up forecasts
\n\tWorking with Area\/Regional Operations Finance Teams on information requests
\n\tDevelop leadership skills for own career advancement
\n\tContribute to shaping BAT\u2019s inclusive culture by demonstrating the right behaviors<\/p>\n
Additional Information<\/p>\n
Knowledge \/ Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tFinancial or audit background with a professional accountancy qualification (such as ACCA, CPA) and a relevant university degree.\u00a0
\n\tMinimum of 8 years relevant finance\/audit experience
\n\tProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.\u00a0
\n\tPrior experience in an FMCG or agri-business environment is an added advantage
\n\tWorking knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Skills<\/p>\n
\tEffective communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to manage relationships and work with managers across all levels within the company and externally.
\n\tGood influencing skills with ability to interact with all levels of senior management.
\n\tAbility to work effectively with all levels of staff within the company and externally \u2013 this should be demonstrated by successful experience in business partnership and decision support.
\n\tClear understanding of commercial business drivers.
\n\tProject management skills \u2013 able to work independently and maintain level of independence whilst working in partnership with the leaf, operations and finance functions<\/p>\n
