The HR & People Operations Manager will lead the People & Culture function at Ando, providing strategic direction and operational oversight during a critical phase of organisational scale.<\/p>\n
This role is designed for someone who can think strategically while enabling execution, helping build strong HR foundations, scalable structures, and a high-performance culture across multiple markets.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Strategic HR Leadership<\/p>\n
\tAct as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team on all people-related matters
\n\tDrive organisational design, workforce planning, and role structuring
\n\tBuild and evolve a scalable People & Culture strategy aligned with business goals<\/p>\n
HR Operations & Systems<\/p>\n
\tOversee HR operations to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance
\n\tReview and strengthen HR policies, frameworks, and internal controls
\n\tEnsure effective execution of HR processes across locations<\/p>\n
Talent & Workforce Planning<\/p>\n
\tLead hiring strategy across functions in line with growth priorities
\n\tEnsure recruitment aligns with long-term organisational design and capability needs
\n\tSupport building strong pipelines for critical roles<\/p>\n
Leadership Advisory & Employee Relations<\/p>\n
\tServe as a trusted advisor to leadership on team structure, performance, and people challenges
\n\tHandle complex employee relations matters with maturity and fairness
\n\tEnsure consistent, compliant, and well-documented decision-making<\/p>\n
Performance Management & Culture<\/p>\n
\tDesign and implement performance management frameworks and review cycles
\n\tDrive initiatives to strengthen culture, accountability, and engagement
\n\tSupport leaders in building high-performing teams<\/p>\n
Compliance & Governance<\/p>\n
\tEnsure full compliance with Kenyan labour laws and HR best practices
\n\tMaintain strong governance across contracts, documentation, and policies
\n\tIdentify and mitigate people-related risks proactively<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field
\n\tCHRP (Certified Human Resource Professional) certification is preferred
\n\tRegistered member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM)
\n\t3\u20135 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or advisory role
\n\tExperience in high-growth or scaling environments is strongly preferred<\/p>\n
