The IT Technician is responsible for providing technical support to end\u2011users, maintaining IT systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of hardware, software, and network components. The role includes troubleshooting, installations, configurations, and responding to service requests within defined SLAs<\/p>\n
Job Description<\/p>\n
End\u2011User Support<\/p>\n
\tProvide first\u2011line and second\u2011line technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other peripherals.
\n\tRespond to service desk tickets, diagnose issues, and ensure timely resolution.
\n\tAssist users with software installations, updates, and access issues (email, applications, VPN, etc.).<\/p>\n
Hardware & Software Maintenance<\/p>\n
\tInstall, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows).
\n\tPerform routine hardware checks, repairs, and upgrades.
\n\tEnsure licensed software is properly deployed and updated.<\/p>\n
Network Support<\/p>\n
\tSupport basic network troubleshooting (Wi-Fi, LAN, switches, cabling).
\n\tAssist with network device setup such as access points, routers, and VoIP phones.<\/p>\n
Security & Compliance<\/p>\n
\tEnsure antivirus, patches, and security updates are applied.
\n\tFollow company IT security standards and data protection regulations.
\n\tReport any security incidents immediately.<\/p>\n
Systems & Administration Assistance<\/p>\n
\tAssist with Active Directory tasks (password resets and group assignments).
\n\tSupport Office 365 \/ Microsoft 365 environments.
\n\tHelp with backups and data recovery procedures when required.<\/p>\n
Asset & Inventory Management<\/p>\n
\tMaintain an up\u2011to\u2011date inventory of IT equipment and accessories.
\n\tPrepare and configure devices for new employees (onboarding).
\n\tHandle equipment returns and cleanup for departing employees (offboarding).<\/p>\n
Documentation<\/p>\n
\tUpdate and maintain support documentation and knowledge base articles.
\n\tRecord all work done in the ticketing system accurately.<\/p>\n
Job Requirements – Experience and Education<\/p>\n
Required Skills & Competencies<\/p>\n
\tStrong troubleshooting and problem\u2011solving skills.
\n\tGood knowledge of Windows Servers and Backup software (Veeam and Veritas beneficial.
\n\tUnderstanding of basic networking (IP, DHCP, DNS).
\n\tFamiliarity with Microsoft 365 administration.
\n\tAbility to communicate clearly with technical and non\u2011technical users.
\n\tCustomer\u2011service\u2011oriented and able to work under pressure.<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience<\/p>\n
\tIT Diploma, A+, N+, or equivalent technical certifications.
\n\t1\u20133 years of experience in a similar IT support role.
\n\tExperience with ticketing systems (Jira, ServiceNow, Freshservice, etc.) is advantageous.
\n\tKnowledge of basic server environments is a plus.<\/p>\n
