Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tPerforming complex and advanced clinical patient management in area of specialization, Neurosurgery, or other specialties recognized by the Board.
\n\tCoordinating training, coaching and mentoring of health personnel.
\n\tManaging health stores including essential medicines and\/or plant and equipment.
\n\tManaging larger facilities\/hospitals.
\n\tDeveloping intervention activities or programs for the management of diseases and conditions.
\n\tDeveloping medical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and protocols.
\n\tDeveloping training curricular and syllabi in collaboration with training institutions.
\n\tCoordinating emergency response and clinical care.
\n\tCoordinating health projects and programmes.
\n\tManaging health information systems.
\n\tCarrying out health surveys and research.
\n\tMonitoring the provision of forensic and medico-legal services.<\/p>\n
Requirements for Appointment<\/p>\n
\tServed in a relevant and comparable position for a minimum period of three (3) years.
\n\tBachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch.B) degree from an institution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
\n\tMasters degree in Neurosurgery or equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
\n\tCertificate of Registration by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
\n\tValid practicing license from Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
\n\tCertificate in computer skills from a recognized institution.<\/p>\n
