ESSENTIAL DUTIES:<\/p>\n
\tDocument the condition and progress of patients and report to the relevant medical staff any areas of concern.
\n\tUndertake plastering procedures and techniques in accordance with agreed policies and guidelines
\n\tAssist the departmental staff in the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of all policies and procedures
\n\tComply with all Hospital policies with particular regard to the policies and procedures carried out in maintaining staff and patient safety
\n\tReport all accidents to the Rehab in-Charge and complete an incident form
\n\tEnsure that the rights, dignity and confidentiality of the patient are protected at all times
\n\tBe responsible for maintaining, cleaning and restocking of the plaster room materials
\n\tTo locate appropriate equipment used by the plaster room staff, ensuring the equipment is maintained, Health and Safety checked\u00a0
\n\tTo undertake designated administration duties to enable the continuity of patient care
\n\tEnsure compliance with all the requirements of the quality management system (Safecare)
\n\tTo liaise with and communicate with all members of the multi-disciplinary team as necessary in order to ensure the smooth running of the service
\n\tAssist in the application and removal of all types of casts \/ splints and other areas of patient rehabilitation as requested both in the in-patient and out- patient
\n\tTo undertake any other duties that may be required, in addition to those attached relating to your specific area
\n\tBe responsible to provide plaster care education and information to patients and their careers, so that they have an understanding of the appropriate care that is needed as complications may occur.
\n\tBe legally responsible and accountable, caring, compassionate and professional at all times
\n\tManage clinical risk, adhere to standards of patient care, treatment protocols and documentation standards for the facility
\n\tPerform all key functions with regard to plaster technology and additional, other related functions as directed and also adhering to standards of performance as required by the institution
\n\tTravel to remote mobile clinics as directed to coordinate and enhance functions between our facility and partner clinics for betterment of patient care
\n\tIn-charge of all quality activities in relation to this position as per the Hospital Standards.
