Government Affairs & Policy Leadership<\/p>\n
\tLead senior\u2011level engagement with Ministries of Health, Ministries of Finance, Africa CDC, and political leadership.
\n\tShape and influence national and regional health policies, UHC frameworks, and budget priorities relevant to blood, cell, and diagnostic systems.
\n\tRepresent Terumo BCT in high\u2011impact regional and global forums (e.g., WHA, AU Summits, TICAD, UNGA\u2011linked platforms).<\/p>\n
Market Access & Health System Strategy<\/p>\n
\tDrive Africa\u2011wide access strategies covering public procurement, reimbursement, donor funding, and PPP models.
\n\tEnsure health economic and real\u2011world evidence are effectively applied to policy, pricing, and funding discussions.
\n\tAlign regional execution with global market access frameworks while adapting to local health system realities<\/p>\n
Program & Funding Oversight<\/p>\n
\tProvide strategic oversight of flagship public health programs (e.g., Sickle Cell Disease \/ Imara, newborn screening, malaria, maternal health).
\n\tEnsure programs are funded, scalable, and embedded within national systems, not dependent on short\u2011term projects.
\n\tLink program outcomes directly to access expansion and long\u2011term demand for Terumo BCT solutions<\/p>\n
Healthcare Ecosystem & Partnership Leadership<\/p>\n
\tBuild and lead multi\u2011stakeholder coalitions involving governments, donors, NGOs, academia, and private sector partners.
\n\tPosition Terumo BCT as a convenor and thought leader in health system strengthening.

\tLead, develop, and mentor the Africa Market Access & Government Affairs team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
Education<\/p>\n
\tB.A. or B.S. Degree required. A Master\u2019s Degree in Business Administration, Public Health or Health Policy preferred.<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\tAt least 10 years of experience in healthcare reimbursement and health policy with background in real world evidence, health economics and outcomes research and peer review publication process.
\n\tMedical device experience is preferred
\n\tBroad knowledge of government and private payer reimbursement in emerging markets and understanding of the health care policy.
\n\tExperience working with KOLs and consultants, as well as government and private payers.
\n\tAt least 2 years managing staff with experience in building and retaining a high-performance team.<\/p>\n
