Job Summary<\/p>\n
The Accounts Assistant \u2013 Payables will be responsible for managing the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices, reconciliations, and payments. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Accounts Payable Management<\/p>\n
\tReceive, verify, and process supplier invoices and payment requests
\n\tEnsure all invoices are properly approved and supported by relevant documentation
\n\tPrepare and process payments (EFTs, cheques, mobile payments) in a timely manner<\/p>\n
Reconciliations & Reporting<\/p>\n
\tPerform regular\u00a0supplier statement reconciliations\u00a0and resolve discrepancies
\n\tMaintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records
\n\tAssist in preparing\u00a0accounts payable reports, aging reports, and schedules<\/p>\n
Vendor Management<\/p>\n
\tMaintain supplier records and ensure accurate data entry in the system
\n\tRespond to vendor queries and resolve payment issues professionally
\n\tBuild and maintain good relationships with suppliers<\/p>\n
Compliance & Controls<\/p>\n
\tEnsure adherence to internal controls, policies, and financial procedures
\n\tSupport audit processes by providing required documentation
\n\tEnsure compliance with statutory and tax requirements (e.g., VAT where applicable)<\/p>\n
General Finance Support<\/p>\n
\tAssist in month-end closing processes related to payables
\n\tSupport other accounting functions as required by the finance team<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tDiploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
\n\tCPA Part II (or ongoing) is required
\n\tMinimum\u00a02\u20133 years\u2019 experience\u00a0in an accounts payable or finance role
\n\tExperience using\u00a0accounting systems\/ERP\u00a0is required
\n\tStrong proficiency in\u00a0Microsoft Excel<\/p>\n
