Student Transportation
\nSafety Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tSafely transport students on assigned routes to and from school according to the established timetable and route.
\n\tEnsure students board and disembark the bus in a safe and orderly manner.
\n\tEnsure that everyone in the bus remain seated while the bus is in motion.
\n\tEnsure that only authorized passengers use the bus service.
\n\tAssist younger students when boarding or alighting if necessary.
\n\tEnsure students cross the road safely when exiting the bus where applicable.
\n\tMaintain appropriate discipline on the bus and report behavioural issues to the Transport Manager.
\n\tConduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections including brakes, lights, tyres, mirrors,
\n\temergency exits, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit.
\n\tEnsure seat belts are used appropriately by students.<\/p>\n
Qualification<\/p>\n
\tMinimum Secondary School Certificate (KCSE) or equivalent.
\n\tValid Public Service Vehicle (PSV) Driving License.
\n\tValid Certificate of Good Conduct.
\n\tValid Defensive Driving Certificate (preferred).
\n\tValid First Aid Certificate (preferred).
\n\tClean driving record with no serious traffic violations.
\n\tMinimum 3\u20135 years of professional bus driving experience.
\n\tExperience driving school buses or passenger buses is highly preferred.
\n\tExperience working in a school or with children is an advantage.
\n\tSafe and defensive driving skills
\n\tStrong sense of responsibility and reliability
\n\tGood communication skills
\n\tPatience and ability to work with children
\n\tPunctuality and time management
\n\tProblem-solving in emergency situations
\n\tProfessional conduct and integrity
\n\tDocumentation and Reporting
\n\tComplete and submit daily route logs and inspection checklists.
\n\tReport accidents, incidents, student misconduct, or mechanical problems immediately.
\n\tMaintain valid driving credentials and ensure they are upto date at all times.<\/p>\n
