About the Role<\/p>\n
\tThe role holder assists the day-to-day execution of import and export operations by preparing documentation, coordinating with clearing agents and logistics providers, tracking shipments, and assisting compliance activities.<\/p>\n
What you would be expected to do:<\/p>\n
Documentation Preparation<\/p>\n
\tPrepare, verify, and submit import and export documentation, including:
\n\tCommercial invoices
\n\tPacking lists
\n\tBills of Lading \/ Airway Bills
\n\tCertificates of Origin
\n\tImport permits and licenses
\n\tEnsure all documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted within required timelines.<\/p>\n
Customs Clearance Assistance<\/p>\n
\tLiaise with clearing agents to facilitate customs processing and clearance.
\n\tProvide required documentation and reply to queries from customs authorities.
\n\tFollow up on inspections, examinations, and additional document requests.<\/p>\n
Shipment Tracking & Coordination<\/p>\n
\tTrack shipments from origin to destination and provide regular updates to internal teams.
\n\tCoordinate with freight forwarders and transporters on shipment status.
\n\tEscalate delays, discrepancies, or issues to the Imports & Exportsmanager promptly.<\/p>\n
Regulatory & Compliance Assistance<\/p>\n
\tAssist in maintaining records of licenses, permits, and compliance documentation.
\n\tAssistance preparation of documents for audits, inspections, or regulatory submissions.
\n\tAssist with applications for permits, approvals, or exemptions as required.<\/p>\n
Cost & Invoice Processing<\/p>\n
\tReview freight, clearance, and storage invoices for accuracy.
\n\tSupport reconciliation of logistics costs with the finance team.
\n\tMaintain organized and accessible shipment records.<\/p>\n
Stakeholder Communication<\/p>\n
\tCommunicate with suppliers, clearing agents, and logistics service providers.
\n\tProvide timely shipment updates to internal stakeholders.
\n\tAny other tasks that may be assigned<\/p>\n
You might be a strong candidate if you have:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree from a recognized institution, preferably in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
\n\tStrong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage priorities.
\n\tHigh attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
\n\tProficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
\n\tExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work in a team.
\n\tSelf-guided person with the ability to work under minimal supervision and a strong willingness to learn.<\/p>\n
