The Technical Operator \u2013 Screen Printer is responsible for operating, maintaining, and optimizing screen printing machines used in plastic manufacturing. The role ensures high-quality printing on plastic products while maintaining efficiency, minimizing waste, and adhering to safety and quality standards.<\/p>\n
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
Machine Operation<\/p>\n
\tSet up and operate screen printing machines for plastic products.
\n\tPrepare screens, inks, and substrates according to production specifications.
\n\tAdjust machine settings (speed, pressure, alignment) to achieve desired print quality.<\/p>\n
Quality Control<\/p>\n
\tInspect printed materials to ensure color accuracy, alignment, and consistency.
\n\tIdentify and correct printing defects such as smudging, misalignment, or fading.
\n\tEnsure finished products meet company and client quality standards.<\/p>\n
Maintenance & Troubleshooting<\/p>\n
\tPerform routine maintenance and cleaning of printing equipment.
\n\tDiagnose and resolve minor mechanical or printing issues.
\n\tReport major faults to maintenance team promptly.<\/p>\n
Production Efficiency\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b<\/p>\n
\tMonitor production output and minimize material wastage.
\n\tEnsure timely completion of assigned production targets.
\n\tMaintain proper documentation of production activities.<\/p>\n
Health, Safety & Compliance\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b<\/p>\n
\tAdhere to occupational health and safety standards in the production area.
\n\tProper handling and storage of inks, chemicals, and materials.
\n\tUse personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
\n\tTeam Collaboration
\n\tWork closely with design and production teams to ensure accurate print execution.
\n\tFollow instructions from supervisors and support continuous improvement initiatives.<\/p>\n
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:<\/p>\n
\tCertificate or Diploma in Printing Technology, Graphic Design, or a related technical field from a recognized vocational training institution.
\n\tAt least 1\u20133 years\u2019 experience in screen printing, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
\n\tExperience in printing on plastic materials is an added advantage.
\n\tKnowledge of screen-printing processes and techniques
\n\tBasic mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills
\n\tAttention to detail and quality-focused mindset
\n\tAbility to mix and match colors accurately
\n\tGood hand-eye coordination
\n\tAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines
\n\tBasic record-keeping and reporting skills
\n\tTeam player with good communication skills<\/p>\n
