QA Analysts are responsible for analyzing business and technical requirements to design comprehensive test plans and test cases. They ensure product quality by validating that all features meet specified criteria through accurate test case execution, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
QA Strategy & Governance<\/p>\n
\tSupport the implementation of QA policies and procedures by ensuring alignment of test activities with defined standards.
\n\tAssist in reviewing project artifacts and test deliverables to verify compliance with QA governance practices.
\n\tMaintain documentation and audit trails that support adherence to QA processes and quality checkpoints.
\n\tProvide input on process improvements by analyzing gaps, patterns in defects, or recurring issues across projects.
\n\tParticipate in QA reviews and retrospectives to capture feedback related to the effectiveness of current QA strategies.
\n\tEnsure requirements, test assets, and validation activities are consistently aligned with organizational QA objectives.<\/p>\n
Test Planning & Execution<\/p>\n
\tAnalyze business and technical requirements to identify testable conditions and define acceptance criteria.
\n\tCollaborate with business analysts, developers, and QA Engineers to ensure test coverage aligns with functional expectations.
\n\tDesign test scenarios and validate test cases for completeness, consistency, and traceability to requirements.
\n\tSupport defect triage by analyzing issues, reproducing defects, and working with stakeholders to clarify expected behavior.
\n\tReview test execution results and assist in determining release readiness from a requirement validation standpoint.
\n\tMaintain requirement traceability matrices (RTM) to ensure all features and changes are accounted for in testing.<\/p>\n
Release Readiness & Sign-Off<\/p>\n
\tValidate that all business requirements and acceptance criteria have been tested and passed or appropriately deferred.
\n\tSupport the creation of release readiness checklists and ensure traceability of completed test activities to requirements.
\n\tReview defect trends and risk items to contribute input to the release go\/no-go decision process.
\n\tAssist in documenting sign-off artifacts and audit logs for test completion and release readiness validation<\/p>\n
Quality Metrics & Reporting<\/p>\n
\tAnalyze test results and defect trends to identify patterns and areas of risk.
\n\tSupport the generation and validation of quality metrics such as defect leakage, test case effectiveness, and requirement coverage.
\n\tAssist in preparing QA dashboards and reports for stakeholders, highlighting key insights and improvement opportunities.<\/p>\n
Stakeholder Collaboration<\/p>\n
\tCollaborate with business analysts and product owners to clarify business rules and ensure test cases align with acceptance criteria.
\n\tParticipate in requirements reviews to validate testability and highlight ambiguities or gaps.
\n\tCoordinate with business users during UAT by preparing test scenarios, tracking execution, and capturing feedback.
\n\tAct as a liaison between business stakeholders and the QA team, ensuring business expectations are clearly communicated.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
Education & Experience<\/p>\n
\tBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
\n\tCertification in Software Testing (e.g. ISTQB, CSTE).
\n\tExcellent Analytical\u00a0and problem-solving skills.
\n\tFamiliarity with Agile\/Scrum methodologies.
\n\tProven experience as Systems Quality Analyst or in a similar role.
\n\tStrong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools and processes.
\n\tStrong communication and collaboration skills.
\n\tExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
\n\tExperience in automated testing is a plus.<\/p>\n
