We are seeking a Support Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience in supporting, troubleshooting, installing, and configuring software based on microservices running in containers, either in AWS or in a customer on-premises data centre environment.<\/p>\n
This role requires hands-on experience in gathering and validating prerequisites for software installation, including server hardware, server operating systems, and network infrastructure\/setup. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting deployed environments, resolving technical issues, and ensuring stable platform operations for customers and project teams.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tProvide technical support for software installations and configurations in customer environments.
\n\tTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to microservices-based applications running in containerised environments.
\n\tSupport deployments in both AWS cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
\n\tCollect, validate, and document installation prerequisites, including hardware, OS, and network requirements.
\n\tInvestigate and troubleshoot network connectivity issues, including ports, protocols, and infrastructure dependencies.
\n\tPerform Linux system administration tasks to support application and platform availability.
\n\tUse Shell\/Python scripting for troubleshooting, automation, and support activities.
\n\tSupport OSS\/NMS platform-level environments, including debugging and troubleshooting applications running in Java microservices architecture.
\n\tWork with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Grafana, and similar platforms to identify and resolve issues proactively.
\n\tCreate and maintain documentation covering installation procedures, configuration standards, troubleshooting steps, and best practices.
\n\tCollaborate with project teams to understand business needs and pre-planning activities.
\n\tWork closely with engineering teams to understand technical requirements for software installation, configuration, and ongoing support.
\n\tContribute to continuous improvement of support processes, operational procedures, and technical documentation.<\/p>\n
Required Skills & Experience<\/p>\n
\t3\u20135 years of experience in a technical support, infrastructure support, or systems engineering role.
\n\tStrong experience with installation and configuration of software based on microservices running in containers.
\n\tSolid knowledge of Linux system administration.
\n\tExperience with Shell and\/or Python scripting.
\n\tHands-on experience with OSS\/NMS platforms, including debugging and troubleshooting applications in a Java microservices environment.
\n\tStrong troubleshooting skills in network connectivity issues, with a good understanding of network ports and protocols.
\n\tExperience in deploying or supporting infrastructure in AWS cloud.
\n\tFamiliarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Nagios, Grafana, or similar.
\n\tAbility to gather, validate, and document technical prerequisites for software installations.
\n\tStrong documentation skills, including installation guides, configuration procedures, and troubleshooting best practices.
\n\tGood communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across project and engineering teams.<\/p>\n
