Job Purpose<\/p>\n
The Food & Beverage (F&B) Manager is responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery, operational efficiency, and profitability. The role includes leading pre-opening and opening activities, setting up systems, teams, and standards to successfully launch and sustain high-performing F&B operations.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Pre-Opening & Opening Management<\/p>\n
\tLead all F&B pre-opening activities including concept execution, SOP development, and operational setup.
\n\tParticipate in outlet design, kitchen layout planning, and equipment selection.
\n\tDevelop menus in collaboration with the culinary team, including pricing and costing.
\n\tRecruit, train, and onboard the full F&B team ahead of opening.
\n\tSet up POS systems, inventory processes, supplier relationships, and reporting structures.
\n\tPlan and execute soft opening and official launch activities.
\n\tEnsure readiness across all departments for a smooth and successful opening.<\/p>\n
Operations Management<\/p>\n
\tOversee daily F&B operations across restaurant, bar, room service, and events.
\n\tEnsure smooth coordination between kitchen and front-of-house teams.
\n\tMaintain high standards of service, hygiene, and guest experience.<\/p>\n
Guest Experience & Service Excellence<\/p>\n
\tEnsure consistent delivery of exceptional customer service.
\n\tHandle guest feedback, complaints, and special requests professionally.
\n\tMonitor service standards and continuously improve guest satisfaction.<\/p>\n
Revenue Growth & Profitability<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and implement strategies to increase F&B revenue.
\n\tAnalyze sales reports, trends, and performance metrics.
\n\tDrive upselling, promotions, and menu optimization initiatives.<\/p>\n
Cost Control & Financial Management<\/p>\n
\tManage budgets, food and beverage costs, and profit margins.
\n\tMonitor inventory, purchasing, and stock control to minimize wastage.
\n\tEnsure accurate billing, cash handling, and financial reporting.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Team Leadership & Development<\/p>\n
\tRecruit, train, and supervise F&B staff (servers, bartenders, supervisors).
\n\tSet performance standards and conduct regular evaluations.
\n\tFoster a positive, high-performance, and service-driven culture.<\/p>\n
Menu Planning & Quality Control<\/p>\n
\tCollaborate with the Head Chef\/Sous Chef on menu development and pricing.
\n\tEnsure consistency in food and beverage quality and presentation.
\n\tIntroduce new concepts, specials, and seasonal offerings.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Compliance & Standards<\/p>\n
\tEnsure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
\n\tMaintain licensing requirements and operational policies.
\n\tUphold brand standards and SOPs across all outlets.<\/p>\n
Systems & Reporting<\/p>\n
\tUtilize POS and inventory systems to track sales, stock, and performance.
\n\tGenerate regular reports on revenue, costs, and operational efficiency.
\n\tUse data insights to improve decision-making and performance.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field.
\n\t5\u20138 years of experience in food & beverage operations, with at least 2\u20133 years in a managerial role.
\n\tProven experience in pre-opening and opening of restaurants, hotels, or F&B outlets is required.
\n\tExperience in fine dining, luxury hospitality, or high-volume establishments is preferred.
\n\tStrong understanding of restaurant and bar operations<\/p>\n
