Description<\/p>\n
\tPrepare and oversee the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other required reports.
\n\tManage finance team for all projects in Kenya.
\n\tEnsure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
\n\tDevelop and implement strategies to monitor, measure, and mitigate liquidity risk exposure across the organization
\n\tCoordinate and liaise with external auditors during annual audits and regulatory examinations.
\n\tAssist department heads and senior management in developing annual budgets.
\n\tMonitor budget performance, analyse variances, and provide recommendations for corrective actions as needed.
\n\tPrepare regular forecasts to support business planning and decision-making processes.
\n\tIdentify trends, risks, and opportunities based on financial data and provide insights to senior management.
\n\tManage cash flow and liquidity by monitoring cash balances, forecasting cash needs, and optimising cash resources.
\n\tEstablish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
\n\tDevelop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and mitigate risks.
\n\tEnsure timely preparation and dissemination of cash flow reports each month.
\n\tIncrease productivity by developing automated reporting\/forecasting tools.
\n\tEnsure deadlines for the monthly close process are met.
\n\tPerform tasks as assigned by the Country Head and CFO, subject to evolving business needs.
\n\tRecruit, train, and develop accounting staff to ensure high performance and professional growth.
\n\tProvide leadership, guidance, and support to the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
\n\tPromote transparency and accountability in financial reporting by accurately, clearly, and promptly communicating financial information.
\n\tEnsure procurement is conducted in line with the company’s Governance Handbook.
\n\tReview financial transactions in line with the company\u2019s policies
\n\tIdentify weekly payments for CFO and Country Head review in line with the company\u2019s payment processes<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tBachelors degree in finance or a related field
\n\tA masters degree is preferred
\n\tAt least 10 years of experience with a minimum of five years’ experience in a Senior position.
\n\tCPA or ACCA required.<\/p>\n
