Role Overview<\/p>\n
\tWe are seeking a highly motivated, commercially astute and strategically minded Business Development Executive to join our Nairobi operations. The successful candidate will play a central role in engaging senior executives across financial services, conglomerates, real estate, energy, FMCG, professional services, manufacturing and selected government institutions headquartered in Nairobi.
\n\tAn important responsibility in this role is to promote premium executive development programmes taking place in Kenya and the UK in June, July, August and November. These programmes are designed for senior leaders and board level participants and are recognised for delivering measurable leadership impact, sharper strategic judgement, stronger governance and clear return on investment.
\n\tThis role offers a valuable opportunity to work within a globally connected executive development organisation that shapes senior leadership thinking and supports organisational excellence in Kenya and the wider East African region.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Strategic Client Engagement<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and implement tailored engagement strategies that build trusted relationships with CEOs, Executive Directors, Partners, Board Members and senior management teams in Nairobi based organisations.
\n\tPromote the organisation\u2019s executive development programmes taking place in Kenya and the UK in June, July, August and November. Position these programmes as high value opportunities for senior leaders seeking to strengthen strategy, governance, innovation, resilience and organisational performance.
\n\tCommunicate clearly the strategic value of the organisation\u2019s programmes in helping institutions respond to growth pressures, regulatory complexity, talent retention challenges, digital disruption, governance expectations, execution risk and Kenya specific challenges such as economic volatility and regional integration.
\n\tUnderstand complex stakeholder environments and position programmes as enablers of institutional performance, leadership resilience and long term value creation.<\/p>\n
Sales and Revenue Generation<\/p>\n
\tConsistently achieve and exceed revenue targets by converting qualified leads into programme registrations, organisational partnerships and repeat executive participation.
\n\tDevelop persuasive business cases that justify premium investment by demonstrating return on investment, executive testimonials, case evidence and clear strategic outcomes.
\n\tDeliver high quality presentations, proposals and negotiations that secure participation in executive development programmes and deepen organisational relationships.<\/p>\n
Market Intelligence and Networking<\/p>\n
\tRemain well informed about Nairobi and Kenya specific market dynamics including macroeconomic conditions, sector regulation such as Central Bank of Kenya, Capital Markets Authority and SASRA expectations, board priorities and leadership capability gaps.
\n\tParticipate actively in executive forums, industry events, chambers of commerce and professional networks to strengthen brand visibility and expand market access.
\n\tBuild and manage a strong pipeline through consistent follow up, relationship management and disciplined engagement.<\/p>\n
Collaboration and Reporting<\/p>\n
\tWork closely with UK based academic, faculty and programme delivery teams to ensure market insights and client needs are accurately reflected in programme positioning and engagement.
\n\tProvide structured daily and weekly reports on engagement activity, pipeline progress, client insights and market intelligence.<\/p>\n
Thought Leadership and Brand Representation<\/p>\n
\tAct as a trusted representative of a respected executive development organisation by sharing thought leadership, faculty insights and research driven perspectives with senior audiences.
\n\tLead strategic conversations that position the organisation as a long term partner in leadership development, institutional resilience and sustainable growth in Kenya and the wider region.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
\tA Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related discipline. An MBA or postgraduate qualification will be an advantage.
\n\tAt least three to five years experience in business development, senior sales or client engagement within professional services, banking, insurance, consulting, executive education or other regulated industries.
\n\tA strong record of engaging senior executives and securing high value opportunities. Experience promoting executive education programmes or consulting services will be an advantage.<\/p>\n
