The Surgical Portfolio Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, market development, and operational excellence across the surgical and endoscopy portfolios.<\/p>\n
This role involves managing key hospital accounts, executing strategic sales initiatives, coordinating installations and after-sales support, and ensuring strong supplier and customer relationships across Kenya and the East African region.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Sales & Business Development<\/p>\n
\tDrive revenue growth across all assigned surgical portfolios
\n\tIdentify and develop new business opportunities within hospitals and healthcare institutions
\n\tManage the full sales cycle: lead generation, quotation, negotiation, and closing
\n\tSupport tender participation and ensure competitive positioning
\n\tAchieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
\n\tAlign on marketing strategies, forecasts, and business plans\u00a0<\/p>\n
Key Account Management<\/p>\n
\tManage strategic hospital accounts (public and private sector)
\n\tBuild and maintain relationships with surgeons, biomedical teams, procurement, and management
\n\tMap key decision-makers and identify opportunities within each account
\n\tDevelop account plans and track opportunities through the sales funnel<\/p>\n
Product & Clinical Support<\/p>\n
\tProvide product demonstrations and clinical support
\n\tSupport theatre cases, workshops, and clinical training sessions
\n\tWork closely with surgeons to ensure optimal product usage and outcomes<\/p>\n
Key RequirementsEducation & Experience<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field
\n\tMinimum 3\u20135 years\u2019 experience in medical\/surgical equipment sales
\n\tExperience handling endoscopy, electrosurgery, or surgical devices is highly preferred<\/p>\n
