The R&D Assistant will support end-to-end FMCG product development activities, from concept and formulation through pilot trials, scale-up, validation, and commercialization. The role requires a hands-on individual with strong laboratory, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills to support timely delivery of market-ready products.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tProduct Development & Formulation
\n\tSupport development of new and improved FMCG products.
\n\tConduct lab trials, benchmarking, and reformulation.
\n\tPrepare prototypes for testing and review.
\n\tEnd-to-End Project Support
\n\tAssist across the product lifecycle from concept to launch.
\n\tSupport pilot trials, scale-up, and factory runs.
\n\tAid in R&D to manufacturing transfer.
\n\tTesting & Documentation
\n\tPerform physical, chemical, and performance tests.
\n\tSupport stability and shelf-life studies.
\n\tMaintain accurate reports and specifications.
\n\tCross-Functional Collaboration
\n\tWork with Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement, Marketing, and Regulatory teams.
\n\tSupport troubleshooting during production.
\n\tCompliance & Improvement
\n\tFollow GMP, ISO, and safety standards.
\n\tMaintain lab safety and organization.
\n\tContribute to cost and process improvements.<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tBachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
\n\t1-3 years’ experience in FMCG R&D, product development, laboratory, or manufacturing environment.
\n\tExposure to end-to-end product development (lab to factory) is required.<\/p>\n
Key competencies<\/p>\n
\tBasic formulation and product testing knowledge.
\n\tFamiliarity with GMP, ISO, and food or personal care safety standards.
\n\tStrong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.
\n\tProficiency in Microsoft Excel and data recording systems. Hands-on, detail-oriented, proactive, and team-focused.
\n\tGood communication and problem-solving skills.<\/p>\n
