Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tManage the month-end and year-end close process, including journals, accruals,\u00a0 reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting.\u00a0
\n\tPrepare timely and accurate monthly financial reports and management information\u00a0 reports.\u00a0
\n\tMaintain accurate financial records in Tally and support improvements in finance\u00a0 processes and reporting accuracy.\u00a0
\n\tOversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring proper documentation, approvals,\u00a0 and follow-up of outstanding balances.\u00a0
\n\tManage bank reconciliations, routine cashbook control, and general financial\u00a0 housekeeping.\u00a0
\n\tPrepare and process statutory returns including PAYE, VAT, SHIF, NSSF, and other\u00a0 applicable filings, ensuring timely submission.\u00a0
\n\tSupport audit readiness by maintaining schedules, reconciliations, and proper\u00a0
\n\tdocumentation for internal and external review.\u00a0
\n\tProvide financial control over procurement transactions, ensuring cost control, policy\u00a0
\n\tcompliance, and proper approvals.\u00a0
\n\tProcess payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with statutory and internal\u00a0 requirements.\u00a0
\n\tParticipate in stock counts and inventory reconciliations, and ensure variances are\u00a0
\n\tinvestigated and resolved.\u00a0 Support basic margin and costing analysis where required.\u00a0
\n\tSupervise and guide the Accounts Assistant in day-to-day finance operations.\u00a0
\n\tContribute to the improvement of internal controls, finance processes, and reporting\u00a0 discipline across the business.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
\n\tProfessional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent
\n\t5\u20137 years\u2019 relevant finance experience
\n\tStrong working knowledge of IFRS, IAS, and Kenyan tax\/statutory requirements
\n\tExperience in manufacturing is required\u00a0
\n\tExposure to inventory-heavy environments is preferred\u00a0
\n\tExposure to EPZ\/export businesses will be an added advantage\u00a0
\n\tExperience using Tally is preferred<\/p>\n
