Job Summary<\/p>\n
\tPearl Hospital is a Level 4 multi-specialty hospital in Laikipia County. Guided by our values of Quality, Efficiency, Professionalism, and Compassion, we are seeking a Laboratory Technologist to perform and oversee laboratory tests for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases, ensuring accuracy, reliability and timely delivery of results in accordance with established standards.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tConduct routine and specialized laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, microbiology, biochemistry and serology.
\n\tAnalyze and interpret test results and report findings accurately.
\n\tEnsure proper collection, handling, processing and storage of specimens.
\n\tImplement and adhere to quality control and quality assurance procedures.
\n\tEnsure compliance with infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols.
\n\tMaintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
\n\tEnsure proper disposal of laboratory waste and hazardous materials.
\n\tAdhere to hospital policies and ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
\n\tOperate, maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.<\/p>\n
Minimum Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tDiploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences.
\n\tRegistered and licensed by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB)
\n\tValid practicing license.
\n\tAt least 1-2 years of relevant experience(internship included).
\n\tKnowledge of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) is an added advantage.<\/p>\n
