The Legal Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive legal support to the organization by managing legal risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering sound legal advice to support business objectives. The role oversees contract management, litigation, corporate governance, and compliance frameworks while safeguarding the company\u2019s interests Legal Advisory & Business Support<\/p>\n
\tProvide timely and practical legal advice to management and business units on operational and strategic matters.
\n\tInterpret laws, regulations, and policies impacting the organization and communicate implications clearly.
\n\tSupport business decision-making by identifying legal risks and recommending mitigation strategies
\n\tContract Management
\n\tDraft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements including vendor contracts,
\n\tservice agreements, NDAs, leases, and partnership agreements.
\n\tEnsure contracts align with company policies and legal requirements.
\n\tMaintain a contract repository and track key obligations, renewal dates, and risks.
\n\tRegulatory Compliance
\n\tEnsure compliance with all applicable local laws, industry regulations, and statutory requirements.
\n\tMonitor changes in legislation and advise the organization on necessary adjustments.
\n\tCoordinate regulatory filings, permits, licenses, and approvals.
\n\tRisk & Compliance Monitoring

\n\tLitigation & Dispute Management
\n\tManage all litigation, disputes, and claims involving the organization.
\n\tLiaise with external counsel and oversee their performance to ensure costeffective legal representation.
\n\tDevelop dispute resolution strategies to minimize legal exposure and financial impact follow-up on audit recommendations.
\n\tCorporate Governance
\n\tSupport the implementation of corporate governance policies and best practices.
\n\tAssist in board-related matters including preparation of legal documents, resolutions, and minutes (if applicable).
\n\tEnsure compliance with internal policies and ethical standards
\n\tRisk Management
\n\tIdentify, assess, and mitigate legal risks across all business operations.
\n\tConduct periodic legal audits and compliance reviews.
\n\tDevelop risk management frameworks and internal controls.
\n\tPolicy Development & Implementation
\n\tDevelop, review, and update internal policies, procedures, and guidelines.
\n\tEnsure policies are aligned with legal and regulatory requirements.
\n\tDrive awareness and adherence across the organization.
\n\tTraining & Awareness
\n\tConduct training sessions for staff on legal, compliance, and regulatory matters.
\n\tPromote a culture of compliance and ethical behavior within the organization.
\n\tStakeholder & Regulatory Engagement
\n\tServe as the primary point of contact for legal matters with regulators and external stakeholders.
\n\tBuild and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities and industry bodies
\n\tLeadership & Team Development
\n\tBachelor of Laws (LL.B) and Barrister-at-Law (BL) qualification.
\n\tMinimum of 6\u201310 years\u2019 post-call experience.
\n\tStrong experience in corporate\/commercial law, contract negotiation, and compliance.
\n\tExperience managing litigation and working with external counsel.
\n\tIndustry experience in [Manufacturing, real estate \/ construction \/ FMCG \/ fintech\/Hospitality] is an added advantage
