The\u00a0POL Facility Maintenance Manager\u00a0is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of fuel systems, infrastructure, and support facilities within the Diego Garcia fuel supply system. This includes coordination with stakeholders, preventative planning, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational standards. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n
Facility Maintenance and Planning:<\/p>\n
\tDeveloping and implementing\u00a0short- and long-range facility maintenance plans\u00a0for fuel systems and support facilities across the Diego Garcia fuel supply system.
\n\tInspecting and monitoring\u00a0utilities, structures, fire suppression systems, storage facilities, fuel transfer infrastructure, truck refueling facilities, and miscellaneous POL-related support areas.<\/p>\n
Spill Prevention and Countermeasures:<\/p>\n
\tResponsible for creating and maintaining\u00a0spill prevention\u00a0and countermeasures plans, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
\n\tCoordinating and implementing actions to prevent and respond to spills promptly and effectively, mitigating risks and ensuring rapid crisis resolution.<\/p>\n
Coordination and Collaboration:<\/p>\n
\tCoordinating with Contractor and Government personnel from other annexes to address and solve operational issues.
\n\tCollaborating with teams responsible for\u00a0fire protection and prevention,\u00a0logistics,\u00a0equipment maintenance,\u00a0grounds maintenance,\u00a0landscaping, and other interrelated units for smooth integration of POL operations with other base functions.<\/p>\n
Operations and Oversight:<\/p>\n
\tSupervising maintenance and repair activities to ensure optimal functionality of the fuel systems and associated facilities.
\n\tMonitoring compliance with operational, environmental, and safety standards for the entire POL facility infrastructure.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tAt least\u00a0five (5) years of experience\u00a0coordinating and administering bulk fuel management operations in both operational and managerial capacities.
\n\tStrong understanding of\u00a0spill prevention and countermeasures planning, including command of relevant safety and environmental regulations.
\n\tAbility to create and oversee\u00a0maintenance plans\u00a0for complex fuel systems and associated facilities, including long- and short-term planning.
\n\tCompetency in conducting\u00a0facility inspections, monitoring infrastructure, and ensuring operational compliance.
\n\tProven ability to lead and coordinate multi-functional teams to resolve cross-functional challenges efficiently.<\/p>\n
