About the role<\/p>\n
\tBurn is looking for an EHS Manager who will be responsible for developing and enforcing policies that ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant factory. They will be tasked with assessing and mitigating risks, conducting audits, and leading initiatives to meet regulatory and sustainability standards. Additionally, they coordinate safety training, manage incident responses, and serve as the key liaison with government and regulatory bodies.<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tDesign and deliver EHS&S policies, procedures and management systems.
\n\tConduct risk assessment process (FMEA, Health and Safety risks, Environmental aspects, and impacts) to mitigate risk.
\n\tConduct and respond to health and safety assessment\/analysis in the plant to minimise health and safety risks.
\n\tEstablish the correct and safe methods of operations across the company by routinely reviewing safety and sustainability results with plant personnel to maximise facility performance.
\n\tCome up and ensure compliance with the appropriate OSHA standards to be applied in use of the company assets.
\n\tAdvise management on appropriate measures and standards for the safety of company assets and resources.
\n\tCoordinate and communicate findings of internal and external audits to management, and ensure conformance is addressed and corrected according to schedule.
\n\tEnsure compliance with applicable regulations.
\n\tCoordinate and oversee the performance of security teams attached to Burn facilities and Burn assets
\n\tLiaise\/Point person on matters to do with EHS&S both internally and externally (NEMA, county government well as Central government)
\n\tAny other duties are directed by the supervisor.<\/p>\n
Skills and Experience<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field
\n\t5\u20138 years of experience in EHS roles, with at least 2\u20133 years in a managerial capacity
\n\tRelevant EHS&S Certifications.
\n\tExperience working in manufacturing, industrial, or energy sectors is highly preferred
\n\tFamiliarity with EHS&S software systems.
\n\tStrong understanding of EHS management systems (e.g. ISO 14001, ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001)
\n\tAbility to design and implement policies and procedures in line with local and international standards.
\n\tSkilled in developing and maintaining environmental and safety compliance programs<\/p>\n
