The Digital Inclusion Intern will be accountable for the day-to-day management of all digital learning platforms. The role holder will collaborate closely with all project delivery functions to identify systems and processes that can be \u2018digitized’ on the program, including application management and curriculum content, training delivery, data collection and monitoring and evaluation, and communication within the program and with local organizations. In addition, the holder will provide advisory support to local organizations on the most effective digital tools to improve the efficiency of their systems. Of prime interest is the holder\u2019s ability to understand how young people in the coastal economy obtain, digest, and act on information, through digital means, and translate this information into measurable behavior change.<\/p>\n
Primary Functions & Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tDigital Content Development SupportAssist in drafting and editing simple, easy-to-understand training content for entrepreneurs.
\n\tSupport script writing for digital learning videos and recorded sessions.
\n\tHelp simplify business concepts for low-literacy audiences.
\n\tTranslate or adapt content into clear, practical language (including Swahili where necessary).
\n\tLearning Management System (TalentLMS) Administration SupportUpload the training materials to the LMS.
\n\tFormat quizzes, assignments, and learning modules.
\n\tSupport learner enrollment and basic troubleshooting.
\n\tTrack learner progress and prepare simple participation reports.
\n\tChatbot & AI SupportAssist in organizing and cleaning training data for chatbot improvement.
\n\tTest chatbot flows and identify gaps or confusing responses.
\n\tSupport updating FAQs and business guidance information.
\n\tDocument user feedback and recommend improvements.
\n\tResearch & Digital InnovationConduct research on digital tools, AI solutions, and e-learning trends relevant to youth entrepreneurship.
\n\tSupport analysis on how participants are using digital tools and AI.
\n\tBenchmark simple digital engagement strategies used by similar programs.
\n\tCommunication & Digital EngagementSupport preparation of digital communication materials (simple guides, infographics, one-pagers).
\n\tAssist in organizing webinars, digital info sessions, or online campaigns.
\n\tHelp prepare summaries and reports from digital learning activities.
\n\tAdministrative & Coordination SupportSupport scheduling, documentation, and follow-up on digital learning activities.
\n\tAssist in maintaining organised digital folders and training records.
\n\tProvide logistical support during digital trainings or pilot testing sessions
\n\tRequired Languages: Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills, including fluency in English and Kiswahili.
\n\tTravel: Travel up to 30 % to Kwale, Tana River, Lamu, Kilifi, and Nairobi.<\/p>\n
Required Skills and Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tDemonstrated experience using digital learning and content platforms, including Learning Management Systems (e.g. TalentLMS), Content Management Systems (CMS), and AI-powered tools (e.g. Gemini or similar), with the ability to quickly adapt these tools within the BlueBiz context.\u00a0
\n\tBachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., BBIT, computer science, informatics, digital marketing, e-commerce, or similar)
\n\tAt least 6 months of relevant experience. Willingness to work in a dynamic work environmentAbility to measure and produce regular digital reports to influence the digital strategy and enhance beneficiaries’ learning.
\n\tPractical knowledge of e-learning, web, social media platforms, and digital advertising analytics, including an understanding of how digital platforms can be best leveraged to meet business needs
