The\u00a0Pipefitter \/ Steamfitter\u00a0is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and certifying boilers, unfired pressure vessels (UPVs), and associated systems in accordance with regulatory standards. The role requires expertise in maintaining and repairing components of the Steam Generation Plant, Demineralized Water Plant, and connected distribution and collection systems. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n
\tCertifying boilers and\u00a0unfired pressure vessels (UPVs)\u00a0in compliance with\u00a0UFC 3-430-07\u00a0or\u00a0P-606\u00a0requirements, as outlined in\u00a0J-1605000-03.
\n\tPerforming preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and components related to the\u00a0Steam Generation Plant,\u00a0Demineralized Water Plant, and their associated distribution and collection systems.
\n\tInspecting and repairing piping systems, valves, pumps, and other components to ensure safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.
\n\tTroubleshooting system malfunctions, diagnosing faults, and executing repairs to minimize downtime and maintain plant operations.
\n\tReplacing worn or damaged components and performing welding to repair or construct piping systems when necessary.
\n\tConducting hydrostatic and pressure tests to certify system integrity and compliance with safety and performance standards.
\n\tMonitoring and maintaining control systems associated with steam and water generation equipment to ensure optimal performance.
\n\tFollowing technical directives, plans, and manuals for all repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks in the steam and water generation plants.
\n\tDocumenting maintenance activities, certifications, and operational logs to comply with regulatory and organizational requirements.
\n\tMaintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace while adhering to environmental and workplace safety improvements.<\/p>\n
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
\tQualification to certify boilers and unfired pressure vessels (UPVs) per the\u00a0UFC 3-430-07\u00a0or\u00a0P-606\u00a0certifications as required.
\n\tProven experience with\u00a0steam systems,\u00a0water generation systems, and complex piping infrastructure.
\n\tDemonstrated ability to perform maintenance and repairs on components for\u00a0Steam Generation Plants,\u00a0Demineralized Water Plants, and associated systems.
\n\tKnowledge of pipefitting and steamfitting principles, including welding, cutting, bending, and pressure testing.
\n\tUnderstanding of safety standards for high-pressure systems and compliance with industry best practices.
\n\tHigh school diploma or equivalent.
\n\tMust be in possession of a valid passport and able to travel internationally.
\n\tPassport must be valid for a minimum of\u00a0one (1) year\u00a0at the time of hire.
\n\tAbility to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain physical readiness for the duration of deployment.<\/p>\n
