Data Strategy & Infrastructure<\/p>\n
\tTogether with the Director of Products and Innovation develop and execute a Data & AI Implementation Strategy aligned with organizational goals.
\n\tLead data transformation initiatives in data infrastructure, analytics, AI products, automation.
\n\tDefine and enforce data governance frameworks, policies, and ethical AI guidelines..
\n\tStandardize and govern all data sources (client, portfolio, operations, external).
\n\tDrive adoption of data-driven decision-making across departments.<\/p>\n
Data Infrastructure & Engineering<\/p>\n
\tOversee design and management of data warehouses, data lakes, and integration pipelines.
\n\tDesign and maintain scalable, multi-country data architecture.
\n\tImplement scalable cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
\n\tImprove data reliability, consistency, and accessibility across the organization.<\/p>\n
AI\/ML Product Leadership<\/p>\n
\tLead design, training, testing, and production deployment of AI solutions (credit scoring for thin-file clients, predictive risk models, NLP for WhatsApp\/IVR, impact forecasting).
\n\tChampion responsible AI: bias mitigation, explainability, and ethical guardrails.
\n\tLead development of AI\/ML models, NLP systems, generative AI solutions, and automation tools.
\n\tManage AI lifecycle: problem definition \u2192 data preparation \u2192 modeling \u2192 evaluation \u2192 deployment.
\n\tIntroduce automation (RPA, intelligent workflows) to improve operational efficiency.<\/p>\n
Governance & Compliance<\/p>\n
\tOwn data governance framework: quality, lineage, access controls, and IP protection.
\n\tLead enterprise-wide master data management practices.
\n\tEnsure full compliance with GDPR, central-bank rules, donor requirements, and Inkomoko\u2019s IP Policy.<\/p>\n
Insights, Analytics & BI<\/p>\n
\tDeliver executive dashboards and drive data literacy across Programs, Credit, Finance, and Leadership.Lead predictive analytics projects for forecasting, segmentation, and decision intelligence.
\n\tIntroduce self-service BI tools and build analytical capacity across teams.

Requirements<\/p>\n
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR<\/p>\n
\tMaster\u2019s or Bachelor\u2019s in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or equivalent.
\n\t10+ years in data engineering, analytics, or ML; at least 5 years leading teams.
\n\tHands-on experience shipping production ML models, ideally in credit or financial inclusion.
\n\tExpertise in modern data stacks (dbt, Snowflake\/AWS, Airflow, etc.) and ML frameworks.
\n\tStrong understanding of data governance, privacy regulations, and ethical AI practices.
\n\tExcellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.<\/p>\n
