Role Description
\nThis is a full-time, on-site Optometrist position located in Nairobi County, and Kilifi, Kenya.
\nThe Optometrist will be responsible for:-<\/p>\n
\tPerforming comprehensive eye examinations,
\n\tDiagnosing vision-related issues,
\n\tProviding appropriate corrective solutions such as prescriptions for eyeglasses or contact lenses.
\n\tEducating patients on maintaining eye health, understanding product options.
\n\tCollaborating with the retail team to ensure superior service.
\n\tConducting follow-up appointments and actively participating in community outreach initiatives, including mobile clinics and free consultations, are integral parts of this role.<\/p>\n
Qualifications <\/p>\n
\tProficiency in performing eye examinations, diagnosing visual impairments, and recommending corrective measures.
\n\tKnowledge of dispensing optical products, including an understanding of lenses, frames, and specialty eyewear adaptations.
\n\tStrong interpersonal and communication skills for patient education and team collaboration.
\n\tCommitment to professional ethics, ensuring a high level of care and customer satisfaction.
\n\tExperience in community outreach programs such as mobile clinics or CSR-related initiatives is a plus.
\n\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Optometry or an equivalent field, with a valid practicing license recognized in Kenya.<\/p>\n
