Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Project Planning and Implementation<\/p>\n
\tCoordinate the execution of project annual workplans and activity schedules to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.<\/p>\n
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication<\/p>\n
\tManage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and consistent information flow across assigned projects.
\n\tAct as the primary point of contact for stakeholder communications, facilitating structured engagement and follow-up throughout project activities.<\/p>\n
Project Monitoring and Tracking<\/p>\n
\tTrack project milestones, deliverables, deadlines, and interdependencies across workstreams.<\/p>\n
Event and Meeting Coordination<\/p>\n
\tSupport the organization of meetings, review panels, workshops, convenings, and exchange visits.
\n\tPrepare meeting agendas, minutes, and action trackers to ensure clear follow-up.<\/p>\n
Operational and Administrative Support<\/p>\n
\tMaintain project operational trackers, calendars, and documentation repositories.
\n\tSupport procurement, consultant onboarding, travel arrangements, and event logistics.
\n\tAssist with contract and documentation processes in compliance with APHRC procedures.<\/p>\n
Reporting and Compliance<\/p>\n
\tSupport the preparation of progress updates, internal briefs, and reporting inputs.
\n\tLiaise with the Communications Officer to ensure timely dissemination of project outputs.
\n\tMaintain accurate records for audit and compliance purposes.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and experience<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Project Management, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related field.
\n\tA Master\u2019s degree in a relevant discipline will be an added advantage.
\n\tAt least 3\u20135 years of experience in project coordination or management, preferably within research or health programs.
\n\tExperience working with multiple stakeholders and managing competing deadlines.
\n\tDemonstrated ability to simultaneously coordinate technical, policy, and administrative stakeholders.
\n\tFamiliarity with donor-funded project environments (Wellcome, Gates, DFID, NIH) and their reporting\/compliance requirements.
\n\tExperience supporting workshops, convenings, or peer-review processes is an added advantage.
\n\tExperience supporting multi-country or consortium-based projects, particularly in research or global health programs.
\n\tExposure to digital health, AI, data science, or innovation programs in LMIC or African contexts.
\n\tStrong organizational and communication skills.
\n\tProficiency in project management tools (workplan trackers, Gantt charts, budget trackers, and shared document repositories).<\/p>\n
