Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Strategic Operations Leadership<\/p>\n
\tTranslate organizational strategy into effective operational plans and systems
\n\tLead the development and continuous improvement of operational processes to enhance efficiency and impact
\n\tMonitor and report on operational performance against set goals and KPIs
\n\tEnsure implementation of audit recommendations and continuous operational improvements<\/p>\n
Procurement, ICT and Operations Oversight:<\/p>\n
\tProvide strategic oversight of procurement, ICT, logistics, fleet, security, and administration functions
\n\tEnsure procurement processes are compliant, transparent, and deliver value for money
\n\tOversee supply chain management including sourcing, inventory, asset management, and distribution
\n\tStrengthen ICT systems, ensuring reliability, data integrity, and user support
\n\tMaintain and optimize ERP systems to meet organizational and user needs
\n\tOversee logistics operations including fleet management, security coordination, and facility operations<\/p>\n
Asset and administrative oversight:<\/p>\n
\tEnsure efficient utilization and safeguarding of organizational assets and resources in their department
\n\tOversee facilities management to maintain safe, functional, and compliant work environments
\n\tDrive cost-efficiency and accountability in resource allocation and utilization
\n\tEnsure adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements<\/p>\n
Risk mitigation and controls:<\/p>\n
\tStrengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational policies
\n\tLead risk identification, mitigation, and monitoring in their department
\n\tPromote environmental sustainability initiatives, including Green Office practices
\n\tEnsure workplace safety standards are upheld, fostering a safe and compliant work environment<\/p>\n
Leadership and People Management:<\/p>\n
\tProvide leadership, coaching, and performance management for the Operations team
\n\tBuild a high-performing, accountable, and collaborative team culture
\n\tIdentify capacity gaps and support staff development and training initiatives
\n\tWork closely with People & Culture to address staff engagement and performance issues<\/p>\n
Process Improvement:<\/p>\n
\tIdentify inefficiencies and implement process improvements across departments
\n\tIntroduce systems, tools, and technologies that enhance productivity and service delivery
\n\tChampion innovation and continuous improvement within the operations function<\/p>\n
Education and Experience Profile<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, ICT, or a related field (Master\u2019s degree preferred)
\n\tMinimum of 10 years\u2019 experience in operations management, preferably in an NGO or development context
\n\tProfessional certification (e.g., ICPAK, ACCA, Procurement\/Supply Chain, ICT certifications) is an added advantage
\n\tStrong understanding of procurement systems, ICT infrastructure, and operational compliance
\n\tExperience managing ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is an advantage)
\n\tProven experience in managing multi-functional teams and complex operations<\/p>\n
