Purpose of the Role<\/p>\n
The Electrician will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and continuous improvement of plastic recycling machines and electrical systems within the facility. The role ensures optimal machine performance, minimal downtime, safe electrical operations, and supports the implementation of new technical projects to achieve communicated production targets.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Electrical Installation & Maintenance<\/p>\n
\tInstall, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment including wiring, lighting, panels, and control systems.
\n\tPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on recycling machines and plant equipment.
\n\tConduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and electrical regulations.
\n\tMaintain accurate records of all electrical works, repairs, and inspections.<\/p>\n
Machine Support & Troubleshooting<\/p>\n
\tDiagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, including complex issues such as electrical cards and high-voltage installations.
\n\tEnsure continuous power supply stability and identify safe electrical supply solutions.
\n\tConfirm and reconcile machine power consumption against KPLC reports.
\n\tIdentify areas requiring repair and recommend improvements.<\/p>\n
Equipment Installation & Projects<\/p>\n
\tAssist in installation and commissioning of new machines and automated systems.
\n\tRead and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and electrical code specifications.
\n\tImplement solutions to improve machine efficiency, system performance, and reliability.
\n\tSupport implementation of new technical and plant improvement projects.<\/p>\n
Team Collaboration & Leadership (Senior Level)<\/p>\n
\tProvide guidance and training to junior electricians or apprentices where applicable.
\n\tWork closely with technical and production teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
\n\tPromote compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards at all times.<\/p>\n
Academic & Professional Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s Degree \/ Diploma \/ Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
\n\tRelevant certification in electrical systems is an added advantage.<\/p>\n
Experience & Competencies<\/p>\n
\tProven experience as an electrician, preferably in an industrial or commercial setting.
\n\tStrong knowledge of electrical systems, installation, maintenance, and safety standards.
\n\tExperience working with automated machinery and control systems.
\n\tAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
\n\tStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
\n\tFamiliarity with electrical code regulations and safety compliance requirements.
\n\tAbility to work independently and as part of a team.
\n\tGood communication and collaboration skills.
\n\tPhysical stamina and ability to work in industrial environments, including confined spaces and at heights.<\/p>\n
