The Role<\/p>\n
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting processes, financial reporting, reconciliations and day-to-day finance operations in a dynamic environment.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tAssist with day-to-day accounting and finance operations, including data entry and record keeping.
\n\tSupport the preparation and maintenance of financial records, invoices, and receipts.
\n\tAssist in basic financial reporting and the preparation of schedules and summaries.
\n\tHelp with bank, cash or account reviews to ensure records are accurate and up to date.
\n\tSupport accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice tracking and follow-ups.
\n\tAssist with filing and organization of financial documents, both digital and physical.
\n\tSupport compliance with internal procedures and basic regulatory requirements.
\n\tCollaborate with the finance team on assigned tasks and ongoing accounting activities.
\n\tProvide general administrative support to the accounting and finance team as needed.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Skills<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
\n\tBasic understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping and financial processes.
\n\tFamiliarity with Microsoft Office (especially Excel); knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) will be an added advantage.
\n\tAwareness of Kenyan tax regulations, including KRA compliance, VAT, PAYE and statutory filings, is a plus.
\n\tGood communication and teamwork skills.
\n\tStrong organizational skills and attention to detail when handling financial records.
\n\tProactive problem-solving skills and a positive, self-motivated attitude.
\n\tProfessionalism, integrity and a strong sense of confidentiality.<\/p>\n
