Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Credit Assessment & Underwriting<\/p>\n
\tConduct credit analysis and evaluate financial data to assess the creditworthiness of clients.
\n\tProvide risk-aligned inputs to support decision-making.
\n\tCollaborate with account managers, customer care agents, and the sales team to validate borrower information and assess risk in business context.<\/p>\n
KYC Documentation<\/p>\n
\tDocument verification to identify and prevent fraud.
\n\tVerify the accuracy and completeness of client-provided information.
\n\tSupport the completion of KYC processes for both new and existing clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.<\/p>\n
Portfolio Monitoring<\/p>\n
\tMonitor the loan portfolio to identify high-risk exposures and support ongoing loan reviews.
\n\tCollaborate with Account Managers to ensure timely completion of periodic portfolio assessments.<\/p>\n
Policy, Process & Control<\/p>\n
\tContribute to the enhancement of credit and risk policies.
\n\tHelp review loan documentation and ensure compliance with internal risk guidelines.
\n\tAny other responsibility\u00a0that will be assigned from time to time by the line manager.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tEducation: Bachelor\u2019s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
\n\tExperience: 2\u20133 years in credit analysis within a Bank, Microfinance (MFI), or Fintech environment; experience in Agri-lending is a plus.
\n\tFinancial Analysis: Expert ability to analyze financial statements and cash flow cycles to determine debt-service capacity.
\n\tTechnical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel & Spreadsheets.
\n\tRegulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of CBK Prudential Guidelines and the Data Protection Act.
\n\tKYC & Compliance: Eye for detail to perform document verification, identify fraud red flags, and ensure 100% regulatory compliance.
\n\tSoft Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with other team members on high-risk interventions.
\n\tPortfolio Management: Proven track record in monitoring PAR buckets and implementing recovery strategies for under-performing loans and market segments.<\/p>\n
