Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tOrder, receive, verify and record all incoming items in the pharmacy
\n\tIssue and record all items duly requested by the consumption units in the prescribed format
\n\tDispense medication to patients and clients.
\n\tProvide drug information to patients and other healthcare professionals.
\n\tMaintain pharmacy safety by adhering to infection control procedures, policies and regulations.
\n\tEnsure proper filing and storage of all the documents in the hospital drug store.
\n\tMonitor consumptions of items in the consumptions units
\n\tEnsure proper storage of all items in the pharmacist
\n\tRegularly monitor expiry dates of all items.
\n\tMonitor on poor utilized and slow-moving items and in consultation with the supervisor advice the prescribers\/users accordingly
\n\tMonitor the stock levels and in consultation with the supervisor to avoid unnecessary stock outs
\n\tEnsure proper maintenance of cold chain in the pharmacy
\n\tOffer pharmaceutical advice when required
\n\tWith the supervisor assist in preparation of consumption reports
\n\tConduct regular physical inventory to ensure compliance of records
\n\tEnsure efficient distribution of nutrition commodities at the pharmacy
\n\tDo any other duty as assigned to you by your supervisor.<\/p>\n

\tAccurate and timely documentation of all pharmaceutical and nonpharmaceutical items received in the pharmacy\u00a0
\n\tDaily recording and tracking of temperatures in the cold room and the fridge
\n\tProper storage of drugs and medical items.
\n\tInventory keeping through tracking of expiries and slow-moving items.<\/p>\n
Required Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:<\/p>\n
\tA Diploma in pharmacy from a recognized institution.
\n\tHe\/She must be enrolled by the pharmacy and poisons board
\n\tShould have a valid practice license
\n\tAt least one year hospital pharmacy experience.
\n\t1 year post internship experience working in a busy health facility.
\n\tA good team player
\n\tGood communication and writing skills
\n\tComputer literacy
\n\tFluency in written and spoken English.
\n\tAbility to work ethically in demanding environment.\u00a0
\n\tGood customer care skills.<\/p>\n
