The Procurement & Logistics Intern will support the organization’s supply chain operations by assisting in sourcing materials, managing purchase orders, tracking inventory, and coordinating logistics.<\/p>\n
The role provides hands-on exposure to the end-to-end procurement cycle within a manufacturing environment, ensuring that production processes are continuously supported through timely availability of materials and efficient distribution of finished goods. The internship will run for 3 to 6 months. The role will report to the Procurement Manager and will work closely with teams in the Production Department, Supply and Logistics teams as well as Warehouse and Inventory Management teams.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Sourcing & Supplier Support<\/p>\n
\tResearch and identify potential suppliers for specialized printing consumables such as paper, ink, and plates.
\n\tAssist in obtaining and comparing quotations to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
\n\tSupport supplier evaluation and onboarding processes.<\/p>\n
Order Management<\/p>\n
\tAssist in the preparation and issuance of Local Purchase Orders (LPOs).
\n\tTrack purchase orders from placement through to delivery.
\n\tFollow up with suppliers to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.<\/p>\n
Inventory Control<\/p>\n
\tParticipate in routine stock-taking activities.
\n\tUpdate and maintain inventory records in the system.
\n\tSupport reconciliation of physical stock with system records.
\n\tAssist in monitoring stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.<\/p>\n
Logistics Coordination<\/p>\n
\tLiaise with transporters to coordinate delivery of finished products to clients.
\n\tSupport scheduling and tracking of outbound deliveries.
\n\tEnsure timely and accurate dispatch of goods.<\/p>\n
Record Keeping & Documentation<\/p>\n
\tMaintain organized digital and physical records of procurement documents including quotations, invoices, and delivery notes.
\n\tEnsure documentation is complete and audit-ready.
\n\tSupport data entry and filing activities.<\/p>\n
Supplier Relations Support<\/p>\n
\tAssist in maintaining and updating the pre-qualified supplier database.
\n\tFollow up on overdue deliveries and resolve documentation discrepancies.
\n\tSupport communication with vendors to ensure smooth procurement processes.<\/p>\n
Qualifications, Key Skills & Competencies<\/p>\n
Academic:<\/p>\n
\tCurrently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.<\/p>\n
