Role Summary<\/p>\n
F4E is hiring a Senior Manager of Data & Analytics to lead our data team and drive the adoption of data across the organization. This is fundamentally a leadership role, the right person is someone who knows how to increase the\u00a0data trustworthiness\u00a0in the organization, bring people along, build\u00a0enthusiasm for data, and help business teams see their work differently through the\u00a0lens of data.<\/p>\n
What You Will Do<\/p>\n
Lead the data team<\/p>\n
\tManage and develop the data team (Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Data Analysis (BI), Data Science), setting clear priorities, ways of working, and a culture of quality and impact
\n\tAssess the current Data environment and then define F4E’s data vision and translate it into a roadmap the team can deliver against
\n\tRepresent data at the leadership level and advocate for investment in data capabilities<\/p>\n
Drive adoption across the business<\/p>\n
\tData as a product – Help deliver data solutions to business teams
\n\tBuild strong relationships with business unit leaders and help them develop curiosity about their data
\n\tHelp teams understand what data they have, what it means, and how to use it in everyday decisions
\n\tMake data accessible \u2014 simplify the experience of finding, trusting, and using data for non-technical colleagues
\n\tRun workshops, demos, and conversations that build data literacy and enthusiasm across the organization
\n\tIdentify data collection gaps by our internal and external systems in business processes<\/p>\n
Oversee data quality and governance<\/p>\n
\tEnsure the organization’s core data assets are accurate, well-defined, and trusted
\n\tChampion good data practices \u2014 ownership, definitions, documentation. Partner with the technical team to understand what’s being built and make sure it serves real business needs<\/p>\n
What We’re Looking For<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\t8\u201312 years in data, analytics, or a related field
\n\tProven experience managing a team and influencing at a senior level
\n\tA track record of helping organizations or business units actually use data \u2014 not just have it
\n\tExperience working cross-functionally and building relationships with non-technical stakeholders<\/p>\n
Leadership and people skills<\/p>\n
\tA natural communicator who can make data feel relevant and exciting to people who don’t think of themselves as data people
\n\tStrong facilitation skills \u2014 comfortable leading workshops, presenting to leadership, and driving alignment across teams
\n\tAble to manage upward and sideways, not just downward<\/p>\n
Data knowledge<\/p>\n
\tA solid conceptual understanding of how modern data infrastructure works \u2014 pipelines, warehouses, dashboards, data models \u2014 without needing to build it hands-on
\n\tComfortable enough with the technical side to have credible conversations with engineers and analysts, ask the right questions, and make informed decisions
\n\tProven ability to deploy data governance concepts: definitions, ownership, quality, and access
\n\tDemonstrated experience helping an organization move from low or ad\u2011hoc data maturity to a more governed, self\u2011service and strategic use of data<\/p>\n
