About the Role<\/p>\n
\tWe are looking for an experienced and technically strong Senior Network Administrator to join our Nairobi team. You will provide advanced network support to our US clients, assist junior technicians, and help maintain high standards of service delivery in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
\n\tThis is a hands-on technical leadership role ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex issues, managing infrastructure, and guiding other technicians.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tProvide remote advanced support and assistance to junior technicians
\n\tAttend IT meetings and ensure timely follow-up on tasks for key clients (Bebashi, TLC, Scholar, and others)
\n\tHandle Wi-Fi support, installation, and optimization
\n\tInstall, configure, and manage network switches
\n\tTroubleshoot and resolve complex connectivity and network issues
\n\tPerform server administration, including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP management
\n\tManage Office 365 administration (account creation, security settings, MFA enforcement)
\n\tProvide application support for client environments
\n\tSupport additional network systems, including Door Access Control and Camera\/Surveillance Systems
\n\tSupervise and guide technicians during cabling, desktop support, and on-site tasks (including work with Chico Miller, Kenny Gammage, and Work Market Techs)
\n\tUse Atera RMM tool effectively for monitoring, ticketing, and remote support
\n\tMaintain access to Office 365 for all clients and local admin rights as required
\n\tEnsure proper use of spam filters and security tools<\/p>\n
Performance KPIs<\/p>\n
Your performance will be evaluated based on the following key indicators:<\/p>\n
\tMonthly billable hours
\n\tManaged hours vs. Project hours
\n\tSuccessful upsells and client references
\n\tPositive client reviews and feedback
\n\tPercentage of closed tickets with supporting pictures\/documentation
\n\tLow number of abandoned tickets (no update in 2 weeks)
\n\tOverall contribution relative to cost vs. revenue generated<\/p>\n
Requirements & Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 5\u20137 years of hands-on experience in network administration and MSP environments<\/p>\n
Strong expertise in:<\/p>\n
\tNetworking (switches, Wi-Fi, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls)
\n\tActive Directory, DNS, and DHCP
\n\tOffice 365 administration and security (including MFA)
\n\tAtera or similar RMM tools
\n\tExperience with Cambium, UniFi, SonicWall, Watchguard, or similar enterprise networking equipment is a big advantage
\n\tProven ability to supervise and guide junior technicians
\n\tExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
\n\tAbility to work on-site in a fast-paced environment with some flexibility for US time zones
\n\tStrong documentation habits and attention to detail
\n\tMust have a valid KRA PIN<\/p>\n
