Role Description<\/p>\n
\tThis is a full-time, on-site role for an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist located in Nairobi. The specialist will implement and monitor safety programs, perform workplace inspections, ensure compliance with environment, health, and safety regulations, and conduct safety trainings. They will evaluate occupational risks, recommend risk mitigation strategies, and promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization. Collaboration with multiple departments to address and resolve issues related to workplace safety and environmental health will be a core part of the role.<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tExpertise in Health & Safety, Workplace Safety, and Safety Training
\n\tExperience in Occupational Health and Environment Health and Safety (EHS) practices
\n\tAbility to analyze workplace risks and develop effective mitigation strategies
\n\tStrong knowledge of local and international EHS regulations and compliance requirements
\n\tProficiency in creating and delivering safety training programs
\n\tStrong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse teams
\n\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field
\n\tRelevant certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA compliance, or similar qualifications are a plus<\/p>\n
