Key Performance Areas<\/p>\n
\tEvaluating, developing, and improving department controls, systems, and procedures that increase accuracy and efficiency.
\n\tOverseeing the daily activities of the accounting department and ensuring that all major projects, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time.
\n\tPrepare monthly, quarterly and annual P&L consolidations and financial reporting consistent with GAAP and Policy
\n\tAnalysing financial data and creating reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties, such as vendors or lenders.
\n\tMaintaining accurate and complete financial records and participating in audits or reconciliations, as needed.
\n\tAssisting other departments as they develop strategies, establish objectives, and make decisions that could have a financial impact on the business.
\n\tEstablishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
\n\tOversees preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
\n\tCoordinates Audits with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with policy and regulations; coordinates with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
\n\tPresents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
\n\tProvides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
\n\tAssess the adequacy of reserves and overall financial reporting.
\n\tEnsure adequate training and oversight are provided to all finance personnel to ensure account reconciliations meet the business requirements. \u00a0
\n\tEstablish, monitor and maintain a system of internal controls that safeguards company assets and provides for the integrity and propriety of financial transactions and activities.\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tKeeping informed about the latest developments in the finance industry.
\n\tPerforms other related duties as necessary or assigned.<\/p>\n

Qualifications required:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum academic qualification: \u00a0Master\u2019s degree in MBA or Equivalent
\n\tQualifications as an added advantage: \u00a0CPA (K) or ACCA
\n\tProfessional registration:\u00a0ICPAK
\n\tIndustry: Manufacturing<\/p>\n
Experience required:<\/p>\n
\tGeneral work experience (years): 15 years
