Job Objective:\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Tax Accountant will support the Group Tax function in ensuring accurate and timely tax compliance across all WIOCC Group companies. The role is responsible for the preparation, filing, reconciliation and payment of tax obligations in line with the WIOCC Group tax checklist.<\/p>\n
The position will also support responses to tax queries from internal and external stakeholders, contribute to audits and tax health checks, assist in transfer pricing compliance and monitor developments in tax legislation across multiple jurisdictions. The role will play an important part in managing tax risk while supporting continuous improvement within the Group Tax function.<\/p>\n
Reporting Line:\u00a0Group Tax Manager<\/p>\n
Key Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Tax compliance<\/p>\n
\tEnsure timely and accurate compliance with all tax obligations for WIOCC Group entities across multiple jurisdictions, in accordance with the Group tax checklist
\n\tPrepare detailed tax schedules to support the processing of monthly tax obligations
\n\tReconcile tax liabilities with NetSuite prior to payment processing
\n\tContinuously monitor tax authority portals to ensure all tax filings and payments are up to date<\/p>\n
Tax Legislation Monitoring and Advisory<\/p>\n
\tProactively monitor changes in tax legislation and regulations in jurisdictions where WIOCC Group operates
\n\tAssess, summarise and communicate the potential impact of new or amended tax legislation on Group operations<\/p>\n
Tax Accounting and Reporting<\/p>\n
\tPrepare accurate current and deferred tax computations for monthly and annual financial reporting
\n\tMaintain and update tax-paid reports covering all WIOCC Group companies<\/p>\n
Audit Support<\/p>\n
\tSupport the closure of revenue authority audits, external audits and internal audits
\n\tLiaise with external tax consultants and advisors during audits and reviews
\n\tRespond to queries raised by internal and external auditors and ensure timely resolution
\n\tAssist in identifying potential tax risks arising from audits and recommend effective mitigation measures<\/p>\n
Tax Planning and Tax Health Checks<\/p>\n
\tReview business transactions to identify tax implications and advise on tax\u2011efficient structuring
\n\tReview contracts and agreements to identify potential tax exposures
\n\tSupport the execution of tax health checks across WIOCC Group companies<\/p>\n
Transfer Pricing<\/p>\n
\tSupport the Group Tax function in maintaining up\u2011to\u2011date transfer pricing documentation
\n\tMonitor developments in local and international transfer pricing regulations
\n\tReview intercompany transactions to ensure compliance with applicable transfer pricing requirements<\/p>\n
Other Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tPerform any other duties assigned by the Group Tax Manager from time to time<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
\n\tProfessional accounting qualification (CPA or Chartered Accountant)
\n\tMinimum of 3\u20135 years\u2019 experience in a tax role within a multinational organisation or a reputable tax consulting firm
\n\tSound technical knowledge across key tax areas, including corporate income tax, withholding tax, VAT and transfer pricing<\/p>\n
Skills and Competencies<\/p>\n
\tStrong written and verbal communication skills in English
\n\tHigh level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
\n\tAbility to work effectively in a fast\u2011paced, multinational and multicultural environment
\n\tStrong analytical and problem\u2011solving skills, with high attention to detail<\/p>\n
