Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Grant Proposal Development & Strategy: Develop & manage grant budgets<\/p>\n
\tLead budget development to ensure all financial and operational data is accurate and reflects organizational goals.
\n\tProvide strategic guidance to fundraising teams and perform quality control on grant agreements to safeguard financial interests.
\n\tCoordinate with program staff early in the process to confirm the feasibility of milestones and manage data entry for new opportunities.<\/p>\n
Grant Reporting & Audit Readiness: Monitor grant expenditures, lead audits, and ensure full compliance with grant requirements<\/p>\n
\tOversee financial report preparation and monitor spending across programs to ensure adherence to funder regulations and deadlines.
\n\tLead grant-specific audits by ensuring all financial records and supporting documentation are accurate, complete, and ready for external review.
\n\tSupport program teams with technical assistance and training to ensure all expenses are adequately documented and that funds are used effectively.<\/p>\n
Systems Management & Process Improvement: Own and implement long-term system improvements.<\/p>\n
\tValidate data within Salesforce and Power BI to ensure financial records accurately reflect grant restrictions and proposal budgets.
\n\tContinuously improve grant-related processes by creating automated reports and standardized templates to increase team efficiency.
\n\tAdapt and refine internal systems to minimize compliance risks and keep pace with the evolving requirements of new funding.<\/p>\n

Qualifications<\/p>\n
Across all roles, these are the\u00a0general qualifications we look for.\u00a0For this role specifically, you will have:<\/p>\n
\t8+ years of experience in finance and accounting, with the relevant certifications. The ideal candidate will also have experience with grants management within the development sector, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex grant portfolios
\n\tBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
\n\tExpertise in financial grants management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes
\n\tProficiency with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, for grant management and reporting
\n\tAdvanced Excel skills, including the ability to perform complex functions and data analysis
\n\tProficient in analyzing complex datasets for strategic decision-making
\n\tAdept communicator, skillfully engaging stakeholders across all organizational levels.
